I am the blessed mother of three children. My two oldest children are successful graduates of Lawrence North High School, and my youngest daughter is currently a Lawrence Central Bear! As a district parent, I have experienced firsthand the incredible strengths of our schools and the unique challenges our students and families face. I am deeply rooted here, and I am honored to seek the opportunity to serve all Lawrence Township residents as your At-Large Representative on the School Board.

What separates me from the opposition is simple: I don't just care about education; I deeply understand the complex systems that run it. As a lifelong educator, I have dedicated my entire 33-year career to student success. I have taught at every educational level—from primary classrooms to higher education—giving me a comprehensive view of the academic journey.

Currently, I serve as the Director of English as a New Language for Indianapolis Public Schools. I manage large-scale budgets, design high-impact academic programming, and navigate the precise compliance standards required to run a successful urban district. I know how to translate policy into positive classroom outcomes, and I understand how fiscal decisions directly impact a teacher’s ability to teach and a child’s ability to learn.

As a career educator and fierce advocate for equitable student outcomes, I am running for the MSDLT School Board to bring stable, experienced, and deeply collaborative leadership to Lawrence Township. Throughout my administrative career, I have proven that complex challenges—from budget constraints to shifting demographics—are opportunities for growth when we analyze data, listen to stakeholders, and execute decisive, student-first plans. On the school board, I will apply this proactive approach to improve student outcomes through transparent governance, invest taxpayer dollars responsibly into impactful district programs, and prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our school community.
